The Lightning LTNG-XQ-8-DTMP is an attractive, lightweight desktop tower or rackmount (4U) conversion which contains and supports your MacPRO computer and provides remote power switching and a breakout of all the Mac's I-O connections to its front or rear panel! It also contains a quad (4) slot x16 full-height/full-length (x4 electrically) TB2 to PCIe adapter using dual TB2 bridge controllers (which requires two TB2 connections to the MacPRO -- all internal, and hidden) and an 8-drive (SSD, hybrid or rotating) read RAID storage subsystem and internal 6Gb SAS RAID controller, providing data transfer speeds of 1300 MB/s with SSDs.

Includes enough power for the most power-hungry compatible peripherals and has controlled, quiet boost cooling for the RAID drives, the peripheral cards and even for the MacPRO computer itself, to assure safe and cool operation of all components. By removing the handles and feet (60 second job), the LTNG-XQ-8-DTMP converts to a 4U rack mount with the addition of our optional CKIT-218 rack mounting kit. Installing the computer into the product takes less than five minutes and only requires a Phillips screwdriver.
