OFFICIAL RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR REGULATION. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LEAST THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR STATE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES RECEIVED.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
● By participating in this Thunderbolt and CLG Red Pros vs Joes Contest, you are signifying your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules (the “Rules”).
1. SPONSOR: Intel Corporation, 2200 Mission College Blvd., Santa Clara, CA 95054. The Thunderbolt and CLG Red Pros vs Joes Contest (the “Sweepstakes”) is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social network. Any information you provide will only be used for the administration of this Sweepstakes and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy (see Section 13 below). Social networks are completely released from all liability by each participant in this Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Sweepstakes must be directed to the Sponsor and not to any social network.
2. CONTEST PERIOD:
The Contest will be run at IEM on November 19th, 2017 from 10:00am Pacific Time (“PT”) to 7:00pm PT (the “Contest Period”)
3. ELIGIBILITY:
Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry, except employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are living, whether related or not) of Sponsor, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any other entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Parties”).
4. HOW TO ENTER:
a. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
b. Potential Entrants must participate in at least one (1) Pros vs Joes head-to-head gaming exhibition playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), during the Contest Period.
c. Each Potential Entrant who scores a higher score than the participating Pro in their head-to-head exhibition will be awarded an Entry in the Sweepstakes.
d. Provide contact information to the Intel personnel on site. Contact information will not be retained past this promotion.
5. ENTRY LIMIT:
There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person/Account during the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of how many times you win against a Pro in head-to-head exhibition. The Sweepstakes Parties and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Exhibitions (all of which are void).
6. VERIFICATION:
All participants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Sweepstakes; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any exhibition and/or other information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Sweepstakes; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Thunderbolt and CLG Red Pros vs Joes Sweepstakes in accordance with these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Sweepstakes will be the Sponsor’s Official Clock(s).
7. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
BY PARTICIPATING IN A HEAD-TO-HEAD EXHIBITION AND WINNING YOUR MATCH AGAINST A MEMBER OF THE CLG RED TEAM, YOU AGREE THAT THE EXHIBITION COMPLIES WITH ALL CONDITIONS STATED IN THESE RULES THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL BEAR NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER REGARDING: (I) PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITIES; (II) ANY USE, COLLECTION, STORAGE AND DISCLOSURE OF ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION; AND/OR (III IF DECLARED A WINNER, ANY PRIZES (INCLUDING ANY USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZES). THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY YOU IN THE EVENT IT IS DISCOVERED THAT YOU HAVE DEPARTED FROM OR NOT OTHERWISE FULLY COMPLIED WITH ANY OF THESE RULES. THIS RELEASE AND INDEMNITY SHALL CONTINUE IN FORCE FOLLOWING THE TERMINATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND/OR AWARDING OF ANY PRIZES.
Without limiting the generality of the requirements noted above in Rule 4, to be eligible for entry in this Sweepstakes, you must sign up at the Thunderbolt Trailer at IEM Oakland after 9:00 am PT on November 19, to participate a in Pros vs. Joes CS:GO match against a member of CLG Red professional esports team. You must also complete your head-to-head CS:GO match with a member of CLG professional esports team either between the hours of 12 noon - 1pm or 6 pm - 7 pm at the Thunderbolt Trailer.
9. PRIZES:
Pros vs Joes IEM Thunderbolt Grand Prize - One (1) eGFX Breakaway Puck Radeon RX 560 Valued at $449.00
Pros. Vs. Joes Participant Prize – Fifty (50) Monoprice Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps) USB-C Cable, 60W, 0.5m valued at $20.00
The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions except at Sponsor’s option. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute a Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award.
The winner must pick up their prize onsite at IEM on November 19th, 2017. The winner is solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any federal, state, local, and other taxes, fees, customs, duties, insurance, or other amounts owed on the Prize (or any component thereof) or any other liabilities incurred in connection with the Sweepstakes. For purposes of compliance with tax regulations, the winner must provide his or her Social Security number or taxpayer identification number to claim the Prize. Only the grand prize winner will need to provide this information.
10. WINNER SELECTION PROCESS:
On November 19th, 2017 in Oakland, CA at approximately 7:30 p.m. PT (“Draw Date”), one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from among all eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Sweepstakes Period.
The odds of winning a Prize in relation to the Sweepstakes depend on the number of eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Sweepstakes Period.
11. WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS:
The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to contact each eligible potential winner (using contact details provided on the corresponding selected Entry). If an eligible potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days of the applicable Draw Date, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Sweepstakes Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly selected eligible potential winner).
12. WINNER CONFIRMATION PROCESS:
BEFORE BEING DECLARED A CONFIRMED GRAND PRIZE WINNER, each eligible potential winner will be required to sign and return within five (5) business days of notification the Sponsor’s declaration and release form, which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the applicable Prize (as awarded); (iii) releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Sweepstakes, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Sweepstakes and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner or medium whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. If a selected entrant: (a) fails to return the properly executed Sweepstakes documents within the specified time; (b) cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the applicable Prize (as awarded) for any reason; and/or (c) is determined to be in violation of these Rules (all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the applicable Sweepstakes Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly selected eligible potential winner).
13. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Sweepstakes are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entrants. By participating in this Sweepstakes, you are agreeing to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Rules. ANYONE DEEMED THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.
The Released Parties will not be liable for: (i) any failure of any website or platform during the Sweepstakes; (ii) any technical malfunction or other problems of any nature whatsoever, including, without limitation, those relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (iii) the failure of any er information to be received, captured or recorded for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or platform; (iv) any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes; and/or (v) any combination of the above.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to withdraw, amend or suspend this Sweepstakes (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Sweepstakes as contemplated by these Rules, including, without limitation, any error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or technical failure. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes in any way (as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend or suspend this Sweepstakes, or to amend these Rules, in any way without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason whatsoever. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate based on the circumstances and/or to comply with applicable law.
By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted only for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy (available at: http://www.intel.com/sites/sitewide/en_US/privacy/privacy.htm). This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information.
An entrant may be required to provide proof (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) that he/she is the authorized account holder of the Account associated with the Tweet/Comment in question and, if applicable, that he/she has all necessary consents, permissions and/or licenses as required by these Rules.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to adjust any of the dates, timeframes and/or other Sweepstakes mechanics stipulated in these Rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant with these Rules, or as a result of any technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Sweepstakes as contemplated in these Rules, or for any other reason.
These Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Delaware and agree that those courts are a convenient forum in which to resolve any dispute arising in relation to these Rules.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials, the terms and conditions of these Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
